About Us
This stunning luxury lodge (a former show home) is on a private section of the
White Acres park known as Nelsons Lake, only accessible via a swipe card barrier access.
​
This area of the park is quiet and peaceful but still provides easy access to the many facilities,
fishing, Italian restaurant, bar and on site shop.
​
Private parking for 2 vehicles and lockable storage for all your outdoor equipment.
Imagine stepping onto your front terrace with a morning coffee or an evening cool local cider and
experiencing that relaxed Cornish holiday feeling, overlooking the lake and all the wildlife it attracts.

The owners, Geoff and Jane, have been in holiday hospitality for over 30 years -
their business is your happiness.
Jane is a renowned artist who has had exhibitions all over Europe.
Her wonderful watercolours adorn the walls in the Lodge.
Geoff is an award winning angler, happy to provide guidance on where,
when and how to fish in the many waters on site and around Cornwall.
This luxury lodge comes with everything to make your stay the best possible, boasting a 65" Smart TV, high end entertainment systems, a fully equipped kitchen (including New for 2024, a Ninja Dual Oven Air Fryer and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine) and spacious bedrooms.
Simple additions to make your stay perfect include USB charging sockets in all rooms, kitchen essentials like condiments, foil and dishwasher tablets and plenty of information on local attractions.
A luxury complimentary welcome pack on arrival will get your holiday started from the moment you step inside. Whether relaxing on the deck or preparing to head off to the beach, you will be hard beat to find a better base for your holiday.

The lodge will be deep cleaned before your arrival and additional cleaning materials will be provided so you can remain happy and safe.

Party and Play
Fully equipped kitchen
The kitchen is open to the rest of the lounge making it perfect for entertaining and sharing - you can stand preparing a tempting salad while enjoying the lake views.
Facilities include a gas hob, electric oven, Ninja Dual Oven air fryer, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, new AAA rated washing machine, tumble drier and iron.

Spacious lounge
The lounge/diner has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake and direct access to the deck, perfect to catch the early morning sunshine.
Guests have use of a 65" Smart TV, sound system, DVD player and free Wi-Fi. A selection of DVD's and games for some
end-of-day relaxation are also provided.
Dining and entertaining
The dining area boasts dual aspect views catching both morning and evening sun and has direct access to the deck.

A full size, 6 seat dining table with mood lighting gives you the option of party meal or intimate dining.
Rest and Relax
Bedroom One
Spacious Double room with luxury bed-linen, cool decor and natural light - perfect for deep sleep and happy awakenings.

A TV and en-suite bathroom with shower provides your own peaceful escape.
Bedroom Two
Following feedback from our recent guests, Bedroom 2 is undergoing a fabulous remodel and will become
a new King-size room.

Bedroom 3
Twin room with wardrobe and TV, perfect as a children's room.

Bedrooms 2 & 3 have use of the family bathroom, complete with WC, bath and over-bath shower.
Outdoor living
The lodge has a wrap around deck area with outdoor eating and coffee area, perfectly positioned to take in the morning sun and watch the lake come to life.
​
The side area, complete with outside tap is ideal for rinsing off equipment, play things and sandy feet, and 2 large lock boxes mean you can safely stow your things without having to bring them inside.
​
The deck is surrounded by a fence and has a latched gate, so it's perfectly safe for letting littles one sit out and play in the fresh air.

The Ninja Air Fryer is super quick, easy to use and simple to clean. The dual ovens mean you can cook different foods at the same time, perfect for dishing up your delicious fresh fish along with homemade chips and free from smells and splashes.
​
The Dolce Gusto will give you barista quality coffees every time, ideal for your early mornings on the deck watching the wildlife.
(We provide full instructions for both and a selection of coffee pods)

We expected Lodge 716 to be good but were blown away when we walked in, fresh flowers, a hot roast chicken and lots of scrummy goodies in the fridge including beer and wine. Even the radio playing some relaxing music when we walked through the door. We have booked for next year and cannot wait to take our friends to experience 716. After a long drive we were tired and hungry so what an amazing treat to come into the lodge and have everything ready for us to immediately begin to relax.

The children loved their own rooms and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck, glass of cider and the fresh air.

As the usual cook at home, I sometimes avoid self-catering, but in this kitchen, with the modern appliances and open space, it was a joy; in fact we all got involved in preparing and cooking meals. We had some wonderful fresh crab, sardines and of course, plenty of clotted cream.

Safety first
We want your stay to be as safe as possible.
In line with government advice and our own very high standards, 716 undergoes a full deep clean in between every booking.
ALL surfaces are disinfected, we carry out steam cleaning and bleached cleaning on floors,
hard surfaces and bins and the outside is power washed.
Kitchen cleaning
We clean EVERY piece of cutlery and tableware on a hot, sterilising wash through the dishwasher. We will leave you with dishwasher tabs for you to use.
Throughout the Lodge
You will have a fully stocked cleaning cupboard to use, including disinfectant sprays, polishes, cloths and bleach.
​
Washing detergent and fabric softener will mean you don't have to take all your dirty clothes home with you.
Safety
The kitchen area has a fire extinguisher and fire blanket and there are smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors throughout the lodge
Exploring the park
White Acres park boasts 12 fishing lakes, perfect for any budding angler to fill their days in the pursuit of large Carp, Bream, Roach, Perch, Barbel and many variations thereof. A well stocked and staffed tackle shop will cater for everything you need, including your permits and bait.
​
It's not just anglers that can enjoy the park with a variety of nature walks, an abundance of wildlife and birds, a children's play ground, mini golf and kids club.
If you're looking for something indoors then the leisure complex has a heated pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. For the less strenuous there is 10 pin bowling, a children's arcade or regular night time entertainment in the club house.

If you don't want to cook, why not take a look at the on-site pizzeria, cafe, grill restaurant or fish & chip shop; all just a short walk from the lodge.
​

Sun, Sea and Sand
Boasting some of England's best beaches, the Cornish coast can give you long, lazy days in the sun, adrenaline filled surf or the lure of catching your tea.
​
Take a trip on a fishing boat from Newquay, only 5 minutes away, explore the rock pools at low tide for crabs or grab a famous Cornish Ice Cream and just people watch.
​
Of course, Cornwall boasts some of the best seafood and shellfish, whether you eat out or buy some to bring home and enjoy on the deck.
​
For some added culture, why not visit The Minack Open Air Theatre, perched high on the cliffs overlooking Porthcurno Bay or have a drive down to St Michael's Mount, the stunning 15th century castle and chapel situated atop a rocky mount in the middle of a tidal bay.
